SPOTLIGHT ON ZOOINITAS ARTIST Bobbie Harrington

ZOOINITAS welcomes the incredibly talented artist, Bobbie Harrington.

As a child, Bobbi Harrington already had the passion of an artist as she was always drawing. At the age of 13, she began oil painting. She is primarily self-taught, but has taken lessons from many great teachers over the years. In return, for over 30 years, she has been teaching others who share her passion.

Bobbi has had numerous one-woman exhibitions within the United States. She created an eight-plate series for Lenox titled: "Just Cubs" in the early 1990's. More recently, she completed murals for a pediatric complex, which included waiting rooms, hallways and offices. One of her dolphin paintings was licensed for t-shirts that sold in Japan. She was also invited to show in an exhibition at the San Diego Natural History Museum where she sold some works as well.

She enjoys taking photos of all subject matter, drawing and painting everything from portraits to sea and landscapes, animals to floral and much more. Bobbi paints in oil, watercolor and acrylic, and occasionally plays with pastels. She often demonstrates a photorealistic style that is meticulous in detail and sumptuous in color, form and range of subject matter.  Her artwork is an exceptional contribution to the Zooinitas Exhibition and all visitors will be pleasantly surprised.

She takes commissions for portraits people and animals and pays attention to special requests and the needs of her clients. She is a very special and unique artist.

You can view her artwork in Encinitas at the Off Track Gallery, located at 937 S. Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas, CA 92024.  Stop in and visit.

Don't forget to visit us on July 26th, 1-4 pm at our opening reception at the Encinitas LIbrary located at 540 Cornish Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024.  www.zooinitas.zohosites.com.
