Sandy Edwards has a compassion that she share with animals. We "thank you" for being a part of Zooinitas, Silent auction and for donating to the cause.

"Being creative has led me to a career as a hairstylist. Sculpting and painting is my passion and hobby. When I found out that I could donate my art to support animals in need I got so excited! I have been an entrepreneur for over 30 years in the beauty industry, I started painting when I was a teenager and eventually took on sculpting and found it's one of my favorite things to do, knowing I can share it for a great cause just makes it that more!"

Her donation of this sculpture is a gift indeed! You can reach Sandy at: sandysandiego1@yahoo.com

About the Safehouse Program™, Rancho Coastal Humane Society

Victims of domestic violence and their children will often stay with a batterer because they fear their pet will be neglected, injured or killed if left behind. Concern for a beloved companion animal’s welfare prevents or delays more than 50% of battered individuals from escaping domestic abuse,
continuing to endanger themselves their children and their pets. Our program provides a support service to domestic violence shelters which are unable to accept pets. We provide temporary shelter for the pets of victims of domestic violence, allowing battered individuals to escape abuse and seek safety. Because of this assistance, no one is forced to choose between abandoning a beloved pet and staying in an abusive relationship. With help from our Animal Safehouse Program ™, survivors and their children can seek shelter, medical treatment and counseling, knowing their pets are safe.
